alex tells photojournalistic tales complete with photos and narrative, and i send paltry links with no intellectual commentary. o-well! cant have two talented bloggers on one little blog, now can you?
(actually, truth be told, im near death with a flu slash sinus infection combo. its really fucking awful and gross, but its also a kick in the ass that i NEED to start living healthier. i got acupuncture and it was amazing. i felt better in moments. im a devotee already. and my very sweet roommate works at a vitamin store and is going to arm me with things i need to heal. and then yoga gym fruit for breakfast tea herbs no stress from work no commuting someday soon-ish, apple cider vinegar, neti pot, biking riding i hope again for someday! and… making soup weekly. yes, i think making soup is what i need for a long happy flu-less life.)
now, for the link of all links.
a bunch of wives, gfs, and mistresses of financiers start a blog about how hard it is to date a man that you were basically with for money, after he has no more money: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/28/nyregion/28daba.html?pagewanted=2&_r=1&th&emc=th
my fav. part: “Next time you are stressing over some finance guy, remember that he is just a math-club nerd,” one woman wrote after recounting a breakup. “This recession just bought everyone an extra two years of the single life.”
but that doesnt seem to cross your mind when he is buying you $200 dinners, right?….
oh girls. i will never understand so many of you!
