Yoga dates back to 3300 BC, so it’s probably fair to say that downward dogs have seen almost every imaginable setting. In a true “only in New York” moment, the practice finds another sacred setting when the MoMA opens its doors early for yogis and yoginis of all levels to wish Pipilotti Rist’s divine installation piece Pour Your Body Out a fond farewell. The morning class is led by Virayoga founder Elena Brower, whose nurturing, inspirational teaching style is an ideal pairing with Rist’s provocative, playful multimedia environment. Namaste, NYC.
