that classroom, was it in annenberg? i sort of feel like no, it wasnt. maybe gladfelter? ugh, did we really have a building on our campus called g.f?
i think about that concept a lot- msypace, facebook, im. even email. does it keep us in touch with more people we should be in touch with? or does it just keep us in touch with everyone? like, EVERYONE, we ever knew, until the end of time? will graduating kindergarden classes make a facebook page for themselves and will yearbooks have lists of everyone’s email addresses printing on the last page? best friends forever! like, really: forver?
school shootings: sad. duh. of course sad. also: a photographer i worked for who grew up in nyc had an interesting point about them— they dont happen in places like LA, NYC, london… big diverse places where every freak and geek is free to be who there are, in all their geeky glory. they happen in these little surpressed small towns where if you are the slightest bit different, you are going to feel so MAGNIFIEDly different each and every day and class and hour and changing in the gym locker room… etc.
something to think. on.
and- Kosovo just declared independence. crazy demonstrations in nyc.
and- photoshoot this morning, in a white cape and new short hair (do you like it!?) and BIG black heels.
and- lets plan a trip together please. where do you want to go?
and- i love you so dearly. enjoy this day of this life.
