i am so glad alex has begun this- oh alex of beautiful ideas… who else would have created something so perfect to try to get the whole world to know each other and go to a party together?

stuffing cake in her mouth. i just got home from new york city and its 330am and i laughed so hard outloud at that.
arent we all shoving metaphysical cake in our mouth, usually? this blog will be a part of my ongoing, ever present, ever evolving attempt to stop stuffing cake and to say real things instead. things that are important to me and hopefully you, and that have the abilty to one day change things.

Thank you both for the new work distraction! I like seeing I am not the only one who hates office cake. Everytime I turn around (yesterday, was of course, the most recent) it is again someone’s birthday, or baby/wedding shower, or anniversary for 20+ years of service here, or, hey, I had cake last night with my family and brought the leftovers in! And then we sit around and chat, never talking about anything more than work, or the few highlights of said event. So, in turn, we literally and figuratively continue to stuff cake in our mouths and never quite know nor understand one another. Ah, progressive people we have become!
